a) Call Log Access

The app requests the READ_CALL_LOG permission.

Purpose:

  • To display recent phone numbers inside the app.

  • To allow users to quickly open WhatsApp chat or SMS messaging for those numbers without saving them to contacts.

Important Notes:

  • Call log data is used only locally on your device.

  • No call log information is uploaded, stored, or shared with any server or third party.

  • We do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal or sensitive user data.

  • If the user denies this permission, call log-based features will not function.

b) Internet Access

The app requires INTERNET permission for:

  • Redirecting users to WhatsApp using official WhatsApp public APIs.

  • Displaying advertisements through Google Ads.

No personal user data is transmitted through this permission.

c) SMS / Messaging Redirection

The app allows users to open the device’s default messaging application to send SMS messages.

  • The app does not read, store, or collect any SMS content.

  • It only redirects users to the phone’s built-in messaging app.

d) Phone Call Permission

Permission Used: android.permission.CALL_PHONE

Purpose:

  • This permission is used to allow users to make direct phone calls from within the application.

  • It enables the core functionality of the app, which is to quickly call a phone number without saving it to contacts.

  • The permission is required when the user chooses the “Call Now” option inside the app.

Important Notes:

  • The app does not automatically make calls without user action.

  • Calls are initiated only after explicit user interaction.

  • No phone numbers, call details, or call activity are collected, stored, or transmitted by the app.

  • The app does not record or monitor any phone calls.

  • All calling activity happens through the device’s default phone dialer.

User Control:

  • Users can deny this permission at any time.

  • If the permission is denied, direct calling features will not work, but other app features will continue to function.

4. Use of Third-Party Services

Google Ads

Call2Chat uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.

Google AdMob may collect certain information such as:

  • Device identifiers

  • Usage data

  • Advertising ID

This data collection is controlled by Google and governed by Google’s own privacy policies.

5. WhatsApp Redirection

The app uses official WhatsApp public APIs (for example, wa.me links) to open chats directly in WhatsApp.

  • All WhatsApp communication happens outside the app.

6. Data Storage

All call log data displayed inside the app remains only on the user’s device.

We do not maintain any external database.
No user information is collected, stored, or transmitted by Call2Chat.

Users may revoke permissions at any time from device settings.
